About Us
The Enterprise Licensing group negotiates, implements and manages the university-wide
licensing programs for Harvard University and its affiliates. We work with all
levels of management, faculty and staff to improve the availability of cost
effective products and to identify and manage business opportunities solicited
from the community and proffered by the industry.
Mission
To negotiate the most cost-effective and responsive Agreements for products
that support Harvard University’s efforts to aggregate product purchasing
and to work with selected vendors who provide aggressive pricing and the highest
level of service to the Harvard Community.
Functions
- Research new licensing opportunities and negotiate agreements with product
vendors to obtain the best available terms and pricing for the University
community.
- Process software license requests from Harvard faculty, staff, departments,
and affiliates.
- Manage the reproduction and distribution of software media.
- Create and maintain a central file for ownership documentation
- Provide information and guidance to the Harvard community around software
licensing programs, issues, and concerns.
